About Sign
Draw your signature once with a mouse, trackpad, or finger, then click to stamp it wherever it needs to go. The PDF is signed inside your browser and never leaves your device.
How to use Sign
- Open Sign in the studio and drop in the PDF that needs your signature.
- Draw your signature in the pad, press Use, then click the page where it belongs.
- Press Download to save the signed copy.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a certified digital signature?
- No. Inkwell places a picture of your handwritten signature on the page, like signing a printout. It does not add a certificate-based digital signature, so it cannot prove who signed or reveal later changes. Check what the recipient accepts.
- Can I type my name instead of drawing it?
- The signature pad takes a drawn signature only. You can add your printed name beside it with the Type tool.
- Does the signature have a transparent background?
- No. It is saved on a light cream paper tone, which blends into white pages but can show as a faint box on colored backgrounds.
