About Edit PDF
Add new text, pictures, and your signature straight onto the pages of a PDF. Everything happens in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
How to use Edit PDF
- Open Edit PDF in the studio and drop in the PDF you want to change.
- Pick Type, Image, Sign, or Redact from the tool rail and click the page where the mark belongs.
- Press Download to save a copy of the PDF with your changes written into the pages.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I change the text that is already in the PDF?
- No. Inkwell adds new text and images on top of the page; it does not rewrite words that are already there. You can hide an old line with a Redact box and type the new wording next to it.
- How do I remove a mark I placed by mistake?
- Switch to the Select tool, pick the mark, and delete it before you press Download. Marks become part of the page only in the downloaded copy.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is read and processed inside your browser tab, and the result is created on your device. It is kept only in your browser's own storage until you remove it.
