About Annotate
Mark up a PDF while you read: highlight passages, pin short notes, and draw freehand with the ink pen. Your marks are written into the pages when you download.
How to use Annotate
- Open Annotate in the studio and drop in a PDF.
- Choose Highlight, Note, or Ink from the Comment tools and drag or click on the page to place each mark.
- Press Download to save a copy with every annotation drawn on the pages.
Frequently asked questions
- Will my notes show up as comments in other PDF readers?
- They will be visible, but not as comments. Highlights, notes, and ink are drawn into the page content rather than saved as PDF comment objects, so other apps cannot list, edit, or reply to them.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is read and processed inside your browser tab, and the result is created on your device. It is kept only in your browser's own storage until you remove it.
