Frequently asked questions
- Does it keep my exact Word formatting?
- Not exactly. Headings, paragraphs, lists, bold, italics, and tables come through, but fonts, colors, headers, footers, and Word's own page breaks are not reproduced.
- Can I select text in the resulting PDF?
- No. The document is rendered as images on A4 pages, so the text cannot be selected or searched, and a line can occasionally be split across a page break.
- Does it work with old .doc files?
- No, only .docx. Open the .doc file in Word or LibreOffice, save it as .docx, and convert that.
